A BTD firewood processor is designed for professional use and requires surprisingly little maintenance.
Regular cleaning and lubrication ensure better performance and a long service life.
1. Cleaning
After each working day, remove wood chips, dirt and resin residues.
Use compressed air or a brush – avoid using a high-pressure cleaner.
2. Lubrication via grease nipples
All models have multiple lubrication points.
Grease all nipples according to the maintenance schedule (manual) – particularly on the splitting cylinder, log clamp and guides.
3. Check the chain and saw bar
Regularly check chain tension and wear.
The automatic lubrication system prevents most issues, but it remains an important inspection point.
4. Check hydraulic connections
Watch for wear or leakage on hoses and couplings.
5. Electrical system
Inspect the controls, wiring and sensors for any signs of damage.
The PROcompact, PROcompact-S and PROplus are built robustly with no real wear parts,
except for the chain and saw bar. Maintenance is limited but essential for reliability and safety.
We supply original parts from leading European manufacturers, directly from stock.
This includes chains, saw bars, control components and sensors, among others.
