A BTD firewood processor is designed for professional use with a robust and practical construction. Regular maintenance helps keep the machine reliable, safe and ready for use.
1. Cleaning
After each working day, remove wood chips, dirt and resin residues.
Use compressed air or a brush. Avoid directing a high-pressure cleaner at electrical components, sensors, bearings or hydraulic connections.
2. Lubrication via grease nipples
All models have several lubrication points. Grease these according to the maintenance schedule in the user manual, including the relevant moving parts, guides and joints.
3. Check the chain and guide bar
Regularly check chain tension, sharpness and wear on the chain and guide bar.
The automatic chain lubrication system reduces the amount of manual lubrication required during operation, but the oil level and correct operation of the lubrication system should still be checked regularly.
4. Check hydraulic hoses and connections
Inspect hydraulic hoses, couplings and connections for wear, damage or leakage. Keep the connections clean and replace damaged components in time.
5. Check the electrical system
Inspect the controls, wiring, sensors and electrical connections for damage or loose connections.
The PROcompact, PROcompact-S and PROplus are designed with a robust construction and a limited number of wear-sensitive components. Regular maintenance remains necessary.
Wear parts such as the saw chain and guide bar must be checked and replaced when required. Other moving, hydraulic and electrical components should also be inspected regularly to maintain reliability and safety.
