The PROplus is the powerful attachment firewood processor for professionals who want to combine high capacity with a robust design. The machine has been developed for processing heavier logs and for carrier vehicles with sufficient hydraulic power.
With a processing capacity of approximately 4–9 m³ per hour, a maximum log diameter of 45 cm and a splitting force of 16–20 tonnes, the PROplus is the most powerful model in the BTD range.

The PROplus has been developed for professional applications where higher capacity, logs up to 45 cm in diameter and additional splitting force are required. In addition to the standard equipment, various splitting knives are optionally available. Technical specifications of the PROplus
For larger pieces of firewood, the PROplus can optionally be equipped with a 4-way splitting knife. This splits each wood section into four pieces.
The splitting knife is hydraulically adjustable, allowing its position to be easily adjusted during operation.

With the optional SHORT/LONG function, the PROplus can be adjusted to the desired firewood length. The SHORT or LONG mode is easily selected via the controls.
For cutting lengths from 23 to 35 cm, the machine cycle can be optimised. Depending on the selected cutting length, this allows the PROplus to operate approximately 20% faster.

The desired firewood cutting length can easily be set via the controls from 23 to 50 cm. This allows the PROplus to be quickly adapted to different required wood lengths.

The PROplus is equipped with a hydraulic valve block (manifold) specifically developed by BTD. The hydraulic functions, limits and settings are integrated into this manifold.
The hydraulics are preset and matched to the machine by BTD. This allows the PROplus to be put into operation immediately after connection to a suitable carrier vehicle.

The BTD PROplus is equipped with a safe and clearly arranged PLC control system. The machine is operated with a wireless remote control with two joysticks, allowing one person to control the main machine functions.
The automatic sawing and splitting cycle can be started at the push of a button. The display can be used to set, among other things, the desired cutting length and the number of blocks to be processed.
The automatic machine functions are safeguarded so that unintended or incorrect operation does not immediately result in unwanted machine movements.

The PROplus is operated as standard with a wireless remote control with two joysticks. This allows one person to operate the main functions of the firewood processor easily and clearly.
The joysticks allow precise control of the machine functions while giving the operator freedom of movement and a good overview of the work process.
Simple and intuitive operation by one person.
On BTD machines, we refer to the complete movable structure on which the log rests as the press block. This press block is driven by a hydraulic cylinder and combines several functions within the sawing and splitting process.
The press block positions the log during processing and supports the controlled feeding and splitting of the wood. This allows the machine to work efficiently and accurately.
The PROplus is equipped as standard with a press block suitable for logs up to 3 metres in length.
The PROplus is suitable as standard for logs up to 3 metres in length. For processing longer logs, the machine can optionally be equipped with a folding extension.
With this extension, logs up to 4 metres in length can be processed. The extension is integrated into the machine and can be folded away when not required.

The required splitting force depends on wood species, log diameter, knotting, splitting length and the design of the splitting knife. More tonnes do not automatically mean better performance: the way the force is transferred through the machine and knife design also matters. BTD PROcompact and PROcompact-S provide approximately 13–15 tonnes of splitting force, while PROplus provides approximately 16–20 tonnes.
The maximum log diameter depends on the firewood processor model, splitting force and available hydraulic performance. The BTD PROcompact and PROcompact-S process logs from approximately 15 to 40 cm in diameter, while the PROplus handles approximately 17 to 45 cm. Wood species, knotting, splitting knife configuration and the stability of the carrier vehicle also influence practical processing performance.
The splitting knife determines how the log is divided and how efficiently the available splitting force is used. Depending on the model, BTD offers 4-, 6-, 8- and 12-way splitting knife options. The PROcompact is supplied with a 6-way knife as standard, the PROcompact-S with an 8-way knife and the PROplus with a 6-way knife. The best choice depends on wood species, log diameter, desired firewood size and production capacity.
For an attachment firewood processor, the carrier vehicle must provide sufficient hydraulic oil flow, working pressure, lifting capacity and stability. The BTD PROcompact requires at least 35 l/min, while PROcompact-S and PROplus require at least 55 l/min. Depending on the model, working pressure is approximately 210–250 bar. A compatible mechanical attachment, pressure-free return and leak-oil connection are also important.
