How does the hydraulic system of the TrailerPlus-M work?

The TrailerPlus-M features a fully integrated hydraulic system powered by its own 40 hp Briggs & Stratton engine with electronic fuel injection (EFI) for efficient fuel consumption. This means the firewood processor does not depend on the hydraulics of a tractor, excavator, loader or other carrier vehicle for its drive.

An important part of the hydraulic concept is the triple-pump system. This gives the TrailerPlus-M its own hydraulic system, specifically matched to the different functions of the machine.

Why have an independent hydraulic system?

With BTD attachment firewood processors, the required hydraulic capacity is supplied by the carrier vehicle. This is an efficient solution when, for example, a suitable tractor, excavator or loader is available.

The TrailerPlus-M was developed from a different starting point. The machine had to be able to operate completely independently. This gives the user greater freedom in choosing the towing vehicle and in deploying other equipment at the work site.

For this reason, the engine and hydraulic system are integrated into the TrailerPlus-M itself. This allows the machine to be used as an independent production unit at different locations.

What does the triple-pump system do?

During the processing of roundwood, several hydraulic operations take place simultaneously or in quick succession. A well-designed distribution of the available hydraulic power is therefore important for an efficient production process.

Thanks to the triple-pump system, the firewood processor operates completely independently of the log lifter and discharge conveyor. Two pumps are specifically available for the firewood processor, allowing the hydraulic power to be optimally distributed across the different functions.

This allows log infeed, processing and discharge to work efficiently together, without the supporting functions unnecessarily reducing the performance of the firewood processor. This contributes to a smooth workflow and the high production capacity of the TrailerPlus-M.

The hydraulic system therefore supports the complete production process: from feeding the roundwood and the actual sawing and splitting cycle through to the discharge of the processed firewood. The TrailerPlus-M provides a maximum splitting force of 20 tonnes and can process roundwood up to 45 cm in diameter.

Independent drive provides practical flexibility

The combination of its own engine and hydraulic system also offers a practical advantage. A tractor, excavator or loader does not have to remain available as a power source during production.

The vehicle used to transport the TrailerPlus-M to the work site therefore serves a different purpose from the carrier vehicle required for a traditional attachment machine.

This gives professional users greater flexibility when planning personnel and equipment, particularly when working at different locations.

One complete mobile production unit

The engine, hydraulics, controls, sawing and splitting technology, log lifter and discharge conveyor together form one integrated system.

The TrailerPlus-M is also designed for road transport at speeds of up to 80 km/h, allowing the complete machine to be moved easily between different work locations.

On site, you have an independent mobile firewood processor with 20 tonnes of splitting force and a maximum log diameter of 45 cm, without requiring a separate carrier vehicle to power the machine.
