The BTD PROcompact, PROcompact-S and PROplus are attachment firewood processors that use the hydraulic system of the carrier vehicle. Which vehicle is suitable depends on factors such as hydraulic flow, working pressure, stability and lifting capacity.
This information applies to the three BTD attachment machines. The TrailerPlus-M is a mobile stand-alone firewood processor and does not require a carrier vehicle.

The BTD PROcompact is the most compact attachment firewood processor and can be used on relatively light carrier vehicles.
As a practical rule of thumb, wheel loaders, telehandlers, tractors with front loaders and comparable vehicles should have a safe lifting capacity of approximately 1,300 kg. For wheeled and tracked excavators, an operating weight of approximately 8,500 kg or more is used as a guideline. Actual suitability always depends on the make, model, geometry and stability of the vehicle.
The BTD PROcompact-S combines the compact attachment concept with higher production capacity and a higher hydraulic oil requirement.
For the PROcompact-S, a safe lifting capacity of approximately 1,300 kg is also used as a practical guideline for wheel loaders, telehandlers, tractors with front loaders and comparable vehicles. For wheeled and tracked excavators, an operating weight of approximately 8,500 kg or more is used as a rule of thumb.
The BTD PROplus is designed for higher capacities, larger log diameters and heavier professional applications. It therefore requires a heavier and more stable carrier vehicle.
As a practical guideline, wheel loaders, telehandlers, tractors with front loaders and comparable vehicles should have a safe lifting capacity of approximately 1,800 kg. For wheeled and tracked excavators, an operating weight of approximately 12,000 kg or more is used as a guideline. Here too, make, model, stability and attachment position determine the actual suitability.
An attachment firewood processor uses the hydraulic capacity of the carrier vehicle. The available hydraulic oil flow and working pressure therefore have a direct influence on the performance and operation of the machine.
The carrier vehicle must also be sufficiently stable to safely support and operate the machine, any extension and the timber being processed.
