The TrailerPlus-M has been specifically designed to switch quickly between transport and working position. At the work site, the three support legs are extended, the log lifter is moved into working position and the discharge conveyor is unfolded and swivelled into the required position.
Because the engine, hydraulics and controls are fully integrated into the machine, no external hydraulic connections to a tractor, excavator, loader or other carrier vehicle are required. Once the machine has been positioned correctly and securely, production can begin.
After arriving at the work site, a suitable and stable position for the machine is selected first. The TrailerPlus-M is then set up using its three support legs.
The log lifter can then be moved into working position. It supports the feeding of roundwood into the firewood processor.
Next, the 5-metre-long and 60-cm-wide discharge conveyor is unfolded. Because it can be hydraulically swivelled, its position can be adjusted to suit a container, trailer or the required location where the processed firewood is to be collected.
For users who regularly produce firewood at different locations, this way of working is an important part of the machine’s practical versatility. Read more about the applications of BTD firewood processors.
An important difference compared with an attachment firewood processor is that the TrailerPlus-M has its own drive system.
Its 40 hp Briggs & Stratton petrol engine and integrated hydraulic system power the machine. This means there is no need to connect and configure an external hydraulic system before production can begin.
For businesses that regularly move between different work sites, this simplifies setting up the complete production operation.
After production, the process is carried out in reverse order.
The log lifter is returned to the transport position. The discharge conveyor is also folded away and secured for transport. The three support legs are then retracted and the TrailerPlus-M can be prepared for transport.
The concept is designed so that no extensive dismantling is required before moving on to the next work site.
Mobile firewood production involves more than just sawing and splitting. Transport, setting up, clearing the work site and moving the machine also take time.
When a machine remains mainly at one fixed location, this is less important. But for users producing at different locations, every additional operation counts.
That is why the TrailerPlus-M has been designed not only around production capacity, but around the complete working process. Quick setup, independent operation and easy preparation for transport are important elements of the mobile concept.
